For many years of my life, I seemed to forget to take a simple breath or slow down my pace. High school was an incredibly huge blur for me. I played sports, did well in my classes, and maintained healthy relationships with friends and family. Those four years flew by and eventually I was ready to move into college. Being an only child, I knew it would be difficult to adjust to sharing a small room with someone. I knew it would be hard adjusting my sleep schedule, eating habits, activities. I knew I had to figure out how to study for college courses. I knew a lot of things, but I expected myself to figure them out along the way. After my first semester, I found myself confused and frustrated because I saw everyone adapting around me while I still felt lost. My entire freshmen year began to make me feel like the smallest person in the world. During this time, I was neglecting something that I truly needed- time for myself and self-reflection. Through this blog, I want to open up a space where I am able to share helpful techniques for living healthy lifestyles through self care and self help.
